Token Watch: find where your company's stock is being tokenised without you
Monitors chains and venues for tokens claiming to represent an issuer's shares. Corporate secretaries and transfer agents pay.
Early · Broadcom, Verizon object to token listing
Written for: Small startup team
Next step
Call the corporate secretary or deputy general counsel at Verizon or Broadcom, the two objectors, and ask what evidence they had to assemble for their objection and how long it took.
Why now
Issuers have no inventory of where their shares exist as tokens, who backs them, or what holders are told about voting and dividends. The comment period on the SEC framework is the moment their lawyers need that evidence. Scanning chains and venue listings is ordinary data engineering.
What became possible
Broadcom and Verizon publicly objected to an OKX-ICE listing of tokenised versions of their stock as the SEC weighs a tokenised-stock framework. Large issuers are now treating unsponsored tokens of their shares as a legal and investor-relations problem.
Two ways in
- Token Watch
Daily scan of major chains and centralised venues for tokens referencing an issuer's ticker or name. Each is classified as sponsored, custodian-backed or synthetic, with backing disclosures and holder counts, and new listings trigger alerts.

Competition
The risks are timing and distribution. Broadridge, Computershare or Continental could bundle this as a free add-on for existing clients. RWA.xyz or TRM could build an issuer view quickly. Notices from regulated venues already arrive at the issuer directly, which shrinks the problem to offshore and DEX tokens. Selling through securities law firms and smaller transfer agents may work better than selling to S&P 500 corporate secretaries one by one.
Full competition notes (7 competitors)
I found no product built for issuers to discover and track tokens of their own stock. The data layer exists (RWA.xyz, CoinGecko, TRM Labs), and so does the demand. On September 17, 2026 the SEC's innovation exemption gave issuers 30 days to object after a tokenized securities venue sends written notice. Broadcom, Verizon, UnitedHealth and others objected to OKX/ICE listings within weeks, and law firms are telling clients to set up monitoring. Commentators note there is no central registry of venue notices or objections. That gives a new entrant a real opening: one issuer-keyed feed that joins three things. These are notices from regulated venues and the 30-day objection deadlines; tokens on offshore venues and DEXs that never send notice (ticker matching alone misses these, so matching should be keyed to the issuer); and classification as sponsored, custodial or synthetic, with documentation ready for an objection, comment letter or cease-and-desist. - RWA.xyz tokenized stocks dashboard
Tracks about 2,600 tokenized stocks and ETFs from Ondo, xStocks and others, with holder counts, transfer volume and market share by platform and chain. This is the raw data a per-issuer view would be built on, but it is aimed at crypto investors and analysts, not corporate secretaries, and it has no alerting or evidence packs.
- CoinGecko tokenized stock / RWA data API
Public API with holder snapshots, top holders and trade data for any tokenized-stock contract across 200+ chains. A cheap DIY substitute for the data layer. It does not classify tokens as sponsored, custodial or synthetic and does no issuer-keyed discovery.
- TRM Labs Tokenized Asset Ecosystem Monitoring
Blockchain-intelligence vendor selling on-chain monitoring of tokenized assets and issuer relationships. It is built for compliance teams at crypto firms and banks, not public-company issuers, but it could easily add an issuer-facing product.
- Broadridge tokenization for corporate issuers
Pitches corporate issuers on the difference between issuer-sponsored, custodial and synthetic tokens and what each means for books and records. It is the most natural incumbent to bundle a monitoring feature, since it already owns the corporate-secretary and proxy relationship.
- Computershare / Securitize issuer-sponsored tokens
Transfer agent offering issuer-sponsored tokenized shares. It has an incentive to show clients the unauthorized tokens that compete with its sponsored product. No monitoring product has been announced.
- Continental Stock Transfer & Trust (SEC advocacy)
Transfer agent that asked the SEC to separate issuer-authorized tokens from third-party ones because unauthorized tokens corrupt shareholder registers. This shows transfer agents care about the problem; it is not a product.
- Morgan Lewis and Ashurst Perkins Coie issuer guidance
Law-firm client alerts telling issuers to set up procedures to monitor tokenized-securities-venue notices and warn investors about unauthorized listings. They note there is no central repository of venue notices or objections. These firms are competition for the evidence-pack idea and also likely buyers or channel partners.

Risks
- Evidence is one headline, and issuer demand beyond a few objectors is unproven
- The SEC framework could settle the consent question and remove the urgency
- Law firms may do this work in-house with analysts
- Transfer agents could add it as a free feature
