Block's Dessa speech-to-speech model

Dessa is not publicly available: there is no API and no weights, and the local demo needs a MacBook Pro M4 Max or newer. Builders cannot use it, price it or test it. The scam risk in the coverage is real, but voice cloning is already possible with existing tools, so Dessa changes the threat less than the headlines suggest until Block releases it.
